Job Summary:

We seek a friendly, reliable, and efficient Store Cashier to join our team at Summit Stores/23 French King Highway. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. You will be the face of the store, ensuring that every customer has a positive experience during their visit.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Accurately process sales transactions using the cash register, handling cash, credit, and debit card payments.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Assist customers with locating products and answering general questions about store offerings.
• Ensure that shelves and displays are properly stocked and organized.
• Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with store policies.
• Monitor the store for any security concerns and report suspicious activity to management.
• Maintain the store’s cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, and ensuring the bathrooms are tidy.
• Replenish inventory as needed and help with restocking shelves.
• Follow store policies and procedures, including opening and closing procedures.
• Assist with inventory counts and restocking when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of cash and receipts, following cash handling procedures.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and make changes.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and stocking products.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Perferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a convenience store or retail environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate cash registers and other equipment.
• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Compensation for this position ranges from $15 to $22 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Position Overview:
The Food Service Associate is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the food service area, including food preparation, cooking, serving, and customer service. This role involves preparing food items, ensuring the cleanliness and organization of the food service area, and delivering excellent customer service. The Food Service Associate will work closely with the kitchen and front-line staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Service:

• Assist in the preparation of food items such as sandwiches, salads, pizzas, and other menu items, following recipe and portion control guidelines.
• Serve food to customers in a timely and courteous manner, ensuring that all orders are accurate and prepared to customer specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized food service area, including food preparation stations, counters, and dining areas.
• Assist in the packaging of food for take-out orders and ensure it is presented appropriately.

Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and taking orders accurately.
• Address customer inquiries or complaints in a friendly and professional manner, resolving issues to maintain a positive experience.
• Ensure a positive customer experience by working efficiently and ensuring timely delivery of food orders.
• Assist with upselling and promoting food items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction.

Food Safety & Sanitation:

• Follow food safety standards, including proper food handling, storage, and temperature checks to ensure food safety and quality.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the food service area, including wiping down surfaces, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing workstations.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Assist with the daily cleaning and organizing of the kitchen and dining area.

Inventory & Supplies:

• Assist with managing inventory levels for food and service supplies, notifying the Food Service Manager of any shortages or issues.
• Help monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients, ensuring proper rotation and stock management.
• Restock supplies as needed and keep the food service area well-organized.
  

Operational Support:

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of food service areas, ensuring that all equipment and food items are ready for service.
• Follow instructions from the Food Service Manager to support smooth operations and assist in the daily tasks of the kitchen and food service team.
• Ensure that food orders are prepared and served quickly, especially during busy service hours.
  

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are met, including temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and food storage practices.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of both staff and customers.
• Adhere to safe food handling procedures and maintain personal hygiene standards in line with company policies.
  

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs occasionally).
• Capability to work in a hot and fast-paced kitchen environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience in food service or a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively in a busy environment.
• Basic understanding of food safety practices and kitchen operations.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
